The Downing Design team

Tony Downing
Has a Diploma in Visual Communications from Wellington Polytechnic. He worked as an in-house graphic designer in Wellington for Colonial Mutual Life and as an Art Director for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, a multinational advertising agency. Tony set up Downing Design in Nelson in 1994. Since then Tony has worked with a number of leading clients on a wide range of projects.

Karel van Helden-Stevens
Project Manager.

Alice Robinson
Studied at the Wanganui School of Design, to gain her Bachelors in Design. She then worked for Saatchi Design, Sydney, for a number of years.

Peter McDonald
Peter has a diploma in graphic design and further training in web design. He works on many of our design projects and most of our web work. Peter has been with Downing Design for four years.

Vanessa is the office manager, keeping the office and staff in order.
